Breakthrough

Hello out there in Blogland!

No I haven't died or been taken by aliens, just been extremely busy in other pursuits! I have been going through later lessons, but haven't added anything to the blog in this respect. I did put an answer on the answer board and am thoroughly confused by folksonomies tagging, mashups and the like! Where do people get these words from? Shakespeare would be proud of them!

I'm hoping to do some of the practical aspects of the later lessons in the very near future. Until then, happy blogging everyone.

BREAKTHROUGH

I tried for ages to post a video using various suggestions as per the Learning 2.0 Blog all to no avail. Then suddenly I got myself several videos that I hadn't planned on getting! Now I've got to delete a couple I don't want, but I think I'll try another day - it's beginning to get to me!

At last! I've managed to sort out Links and RSS Feeds and they seem to be working! Must go and catch up on my normal library work now!

Breakthrough

Well I sorted out the problem of deleting a post - just needed to expand my box a little to see all the options! I've been wading through WIKIs today though I haven't actually signed on to any. However I did conrtibute to the Readers Advisory WIKI recently, so feel a bit clever there!! I can see WIKIs being great for both readers and staff in solving the age old problem of a good read - what can we recommend.

Once again I haven't got much time to post as I'm working as well. I feel that as long as I can keep up with the lessons and get the fundamentals now, I can spend more time in the future refining my knowledge. At least I know what they all are now and that's a massive step in the right direction.

Breakthrough

Life has been a whirl in the Learning 2.0 stakes! I finally managed to add an image and some links. I was hoping they were RSS ones, but I'm not sure that they are. I also seem to have got myself some BBC News additions while trying to get the RSS Feed. Not sure what I've actually got so far! No more time now, so will have another look tomorrow. I had no problems setting up an independent Bloglines site with RSS feeds, but putting on to my site is more difficult. I'm also having trouble working out how to edit a post that is already on the Blog. I want to delete something, but can't so far.
